I've been preparing for a trip to Santa Fe, NM the past few weeks, and the remote possibility of seeing snow has got me dreaming of a winter wonderland. I've always been fond of the Invert adjustment in Photoshop, and this week has given me the opportunity to explore its possibilities further. The Invert adjustment "produces a photo negative effect by creating a negative based on the brightness values of the image." (source) The blues and whites that result always reminded me of winter. Naturally, the idea for this week's edits was born.
Some remind me of ice crystals, or the depths of a glacier, maybe even an ice palace. Others remind me of ski slopes. Others remind me of weather patterns. A winter vortex swirling in whatever direction it sees fit. What do you see in these winter inspired edits? Leave your comments below.
