Here we are at week 45. Only 10 more weeks to go. I felt a slowing down of momentum this week. There is a lot on the horizon, and so much has happened up to this moment. The end is in sight and I am both relieved and disappointed. I have taken on many projects in the past, none of which were as self-imposed as this one, save for my agreement to do them. There was always someone else's timeline, deadline, requirements, expectations, input. This project is entirely my own. My rules, my ideas, my themes, my struggles. The 365 Project has left me swimming in the deepest of oceans, and sometimes I feel a little too set a drift with vast horizons in all directions. Honestly, I cannot believe I'm nearing the finish line. It doesn't seem possible. In spite of that, it sometimes feels as though I can't go on. How could I possibly come up with seven unique edits this week after last week?
In starting week 45 I knew I wanted to do something more with the twinkling stars over Blue Springs. These images are part of a series I worked with in week 44. I've always found space inspirational, especially when you can find its elements hiding on planet Earth. Stars inspire, and elicit wonder. Stars have the power to minimize your existence in a way that is marvelous. What an unbelievably expansive universe we live in. To be part of this moment in time is incredible.
The week gets more abstract as it goes along. Some edits are more water-like than others. What do you like about the edits this week? Is there one that strikes a chord with you? Have a deep love affair with space? Leave your commentary below. As always, thank you for your support.
